An Empire is a player in the game represented by a certain color and pattern of hexagons. Every Empire will most likely be pursuing the main goal of the game, to capture 500 tiles. Whichever Empire manages to do so wins the current game and the map is reset. Also, their name will show up on the daily leader board with a number beside it representing the number of that win for the game that day.
